Pre-Algebra

As students progress into pre-Algebra, they begin to learn a whole new language, the language of Algebra. New words and concepts become the norm. This can be a bit overwhelming for students at times and, while they master some areas, others are still proven to be weak when tested against the requirements of Algebra.

This Course Will Cover Concepts Such As:

  • Review of Integers and Equations

  • Evaluating Expressions

  • Understanding, Simplifying, and Estimating Square Roots

  • Introduction to Linear Expressions

  • Pythagorean Theorem, Midpoint and Distance Formula

  • Polynomials

This course can serve as either an introduction to pre-Algebra or a means to solidify concepts learned the prior year.

Recommended For:

  • Rising 7th and 8th graders preparing for pre-Algebra

  • Rising 8th or 9th graders who need to review these skills prior to taking Algebra

Course Length: Six Sessions, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00pm to 6:00pm beginning July 8.

Format: On-line, students will need access to a laptop, tablet, phone

Cost: $175

Minimum: 5-10 Students
